How I lived in Greece for 3 years.

Dear readers, let me tell you the story of my journey in the world of Greek life, where every day is an adventure and every confusion is an opportunity to learn something new. My adventure began in 2011 when I decided to experience the delights of life in Sithonia, one of the most exciting places in Greece.

The first two visits were like magical moments when I enjoyed the crystal clear sea in summer and cozy taverns in winter with great pleasure. However, the real temptation began in 2012, when we arrived in Sithonia with one goal: to find the perfect rental property in Nikiti, a famous place among those in the know, but with a name that made us bite our lip – Middle Finger.

Oddly enough, this picturesque corner became our home in Greece, and in 2013 we finally decided to move here permanently. In summer, spring and autumn, life seemed like a real paradise to us - sunsets, beaches, olive groves, and friendly neighbors created an atmosphere as if from an open book about paradise.

However, in winter everything changed. Houses that seemed ideal in summer turned out to be completely unsuitable for living by the sea in winter. The cold and moisture made our life quite uncomfortable, and we realized that we needed to look for a solution. And so we found it - a house in the mountains.

Being drawn to the heights, we discovered that life in the mountains is quite comfortable, especially in winter, when the sea breeze hits your face with its freshness. At the same time, warmth in the house is easier to maintain, and spiritual harmony breathes new meaning.

However, in 2016 our Greek saga came to an end. High prices for utilities and food have forced us to think about our finances. And although we are leaving Greece, we are leaving with the experience and wisdom that this country has given us - live today, appreciate the moment, but do not forget about the future.

So, my dears, if you ever decide to settle down in Sithonia, remember: every road has its bends, but the most important thing is how you walk this path. And may your journey be full of humor, business wisdom and unforgettable experiences!
